Want A Better Life, Start Reading and Writing Now
Last August, I joined a writing program by Nick Cole called Ship30For30. It's a writing class that teaches you how to start writing to eventually generate income. The program provides a writing platform, TYPESHARE, which generates ideas and outlines for those who want to start writing, as well as helps to foster writing habits.
I then followed up by joining Scott Schepher's WRITE TO FREEDOM program in December, a more advanced course that assists me in generating a knowledge funnel using the Antinet Zettelkasten methods, which will eventually lead to online income.
Without diving into the details, here is my thought process on why, as a yoga teacher and fitness coach, I have decided to choose writing newsletters and books as my online business.
Designing my life
I never thought about being a writer. I write to express how I feel and document my learning experiences. Writing helps me to better understand who I am and what I want in my life. I firmly believe that if you want to live the life you desire, you have to understand who you are and what you want. Writing not only gives me the tools to explore my mind but also helps me to think deeply about designing a life worth living. This includes taking action in building wealth, health, and relationships.
Committing to self-growth
When I first got into yoga and fitness, most of my learning was through attending certification courses and workshops both online and offline. After COVID, most of my learning shifted online, and I started reading books recommended by my coaches and teachers. To date, I have a total of 31 resources that I continue to learn from, which has cost me thousands of dollars. The reason I'm sharing this is to highlight that all the learning and reading I have done has not only helped me as a coach and teacher by providing the knowledge to do my job, it has also aided my personal growth. After many years of continuous learning, I am now ready to write and share with my clients so they may also benefit from my knowledge. Coaching is not a cookie-cutter job; it is a self-growth aspired transformation business. If you're not open to learning and practicing what you've learned, it will be difficult to translate it into client success.
Communicating with potential clients
We live in a digital age where sharing ideas and information is prevalent in our lives. Sharing is about speaking to your audience and generating leads to sell your business. While there are many ways to generate leads, writing, in my opinion, is the number one skill everyone should learn because it is key to informing and bringing people through the door, getting them interested in what you have to offer. I have generated lots of reels, blogs, and articles about my learning and teaching as a coach because I want to help people live better, healthier, and more peaceful lives. The only way potential clients will buy your service is by knowing clearly what you can do for them.
Conclusion
In conclusion, embarking on the journey of writing has intertwined my roles as a yoga teacher and fitness coach with the powerful skill of communication. Through programs like Ship30For30 and Write To Freedom, I have gained the tools to express my thoughts and experiences while designing a life full of intention and purpose. Writing has become my chosen medium for fostering personal growth, building meaningful connections, and developing an impactful online business.
My ongoing commitment to learning and self-improvement has prepared me to share valuable insights with my clients, helping them achieve their wellness goals. In a digital world filled with information exchange, writing emerges as a crucial skill for attracting potential clients and effectively communicating the unique value I provide.
Ultimately, writing is more than just a tool—it’s a pathway to a better life for me and those I aim to reach. By documenting and disseminating my insights, I hope to inspire others to understand their own desires and work towards creating lives worth living, embracing the potential for writing to serve as both a personal and professional vehicle for success and fulfillment.
